Evergreen Miscanthus Miscanthus transmorrisonensis Evergreen clumping grass with foliage to 3-4 feet tall. The plant is graced by arching 5-6 feet tall golden spikes that arch up and out from the foliage. Flowers occur late spring through winter. Drought resistant, but looks best with occasional watering. This type of Miscanthus is one of the most popular as it holds flower heads from summer through to late winter. Miscanthus transmorrisonensus was introduced from Taiwan by Paul Meyer of the Morris Arboretum and C. Ferris Miller of Chollipo Arboretum.
