Stop doing your pancake stretches on the floor if you’re stuck there. Nothing will happen if you can’t move your hips correctly first. 

Start in a standing variation, then make progress by sitting down on something. This will ensure proper hip posture and allow you to gain the flexibility you need to perform the floor variation. 

Hold the stretching positions for 2 to 4 sets, 1 to 2 minutes per time, nice and easy, also on a daily basis, and you’ll see massive results.
