Notice that most of the recipes for your holiday treats call for salt? Salt makes everything more delicious by accentuating the flavors of baked goods- particularly with flour, butter and chocolate. In bread making, salt creates a stronger and tighter crumb. So should you use sea salt, kosher salt or iodized table salt? Pick the salt that you like best! Keep in mind that the finer the grain, the easier it disperses throughout the ingredients.

Once dry, every flake of salt is graded, sifted, and sorted. The fully formed pyramid-shaped crystals become our flake salt, while smaller flakes and coarser crystals become kosher salt. After sorting, the salt is sealed and sent to our Portland facility for packaging and distribution.
