In this video, I added a bit of cream cheese to try and mimic Japanese cheesecakes and it worked! It’s an optional ingredient but you have to make sure to warm the cream cheese (10-15 seconds in the microwave) so that you don’t get clumps in your batter. The smoother the better!

Soufflé Pancakes Recipe:

Meringue:
2 egg whites (room temp)
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar (or 4 drops of lemon juice)

Wet Ingredients:
2 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons milk
2 tbsp cream cheese (warmed)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt

*Butter or oil for greasing the pan
