two plates with pretzels, olives and cheese on them

Turkish sesame bagel, known as “simit” is my favorite breakfast bread. It is sold all over busy streets of Turkey and you can grab one in the morning and have a breakfast on-the-go. I grew up on this stuff and have been missing it so much so that I learned how to make them. Covered in sesame seeds and with a perfectly crunchy crust, simit is best enjoyed with feta cheese, olives and a cup of black tea.
