Science for Kids on Instagram: "Walking Water: A Colorful Capillary Action Experiment for Kids 💦 ✨Science: The water “walks” due to capillary action, which is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of external forces like gravity. The paper towel acts as a wick, pulling the colored water upward and transferring it between the two glasses. This happens because water molecules are attracted to the fibers of the paper towel (adhesion) and also stick to each other (cohesion), allowing the water to move through the towel. Materials: 3 glasses, food coloring, water, and paper towel. #steam #stem #scienceandgiggles #walkingwater #bountypapertowels #kidsactivities #homeschooling #fun #kids #scienceforkids #actividades" Ziploc Bag Science Experiment, Imagination Week Preschool, Paper Towel Color Experiment, Moving Activities For Preschoolers, Capillary Action Experiment, Marble Activities For Preschool, Biology Experiments For Kids, Water Science Experiments For Kids, Steam Experiments For Kids
