I had a small scene in mind where the s/o is pregnant and sporting round pretty belly but feels self-conscious about it, meanwhile turtle boo is trying to keep his shit together because he is 🤏 this close to losing it and turn feral but doesn't want to hurt the baby or partner by accident.
I think it's a really cute concept, but I totally understand if you don't feel comfy writing about it so no pressure if you want to refuse. You can forget all about the scene and write something entirely different.

Ashely was huffing and puffing and had every right to be.
Her boyfriend was at it again! Lecturing her every chance he had. All she wanted to do was have a night out with the girls and let loose. But to him, her wardrobe was “too loose.”
So the crisscross halter top revealed a little cleavage, so what? She was going out to a club! Not that she was a club type, but now that she was legal (and able to drink), she felt like exploring a little.
And her age permitted that. But him? Ugh!
“Leo, I am not a child. You do understand this right? I know my father wasn’t around for most part of my life thanks to my heartless mother, but that doesn’t give you the right to get all ‘parental’ on me!”
Leonardo, stoic as ever, stared at her blankly.
He really didn’t care much for her retaliation. With that outfit, she’d attract all sorts of creeps and that was enough for him to be concerned.
“You know, I wish you thought a little more like me. So what if I shelter you a little? It’s only because I care. You’re always acting like a little brat, and if your father were here, I’m sure he’d agree.”
His casual display after what he had said really did a number on her! He was always so nonchalant and regal. Ashley dubbed him the “Ice Monarch” for that very reason.
His empty stare added to her annoyance. She never really knew what he was thinking unless he spoke. And lately, when he did, he was downright rude!
“Whatever. I’m out. See you later!”
Ashley grabbed her purse and started to walk out, until he stopped her once again.
“You’re not gonna change your top?”
Was he serious? Normally, she’d compromise with the turtle, but there wasn’t enough space in his world to settle things, unless it was his way, but Leo had forgotten something crucial about her; Ashley wasn’t one to play “Follow the Leader.”
“I’d love to stay and chat Leo, but the girls are waiting. See you later!”
“So be it.”
It was an implied threat, but he would never harm her in any way. It was more of a promise that she would soon regret her actions.
“Whatever.”
……
For the next two days after her splendid outing, Leo had given her the silent treatment.
He hadn’t even picked up his phone.
She didn’t know when, but in time he had perfected the “art of docuhery” as well.

Another month had came and went.
Ashley was hoping that in that time Leo would ease up on her, but instead things just got worse.
Blocked calls, following her around town whenever she stepped out, openly degrading her in front of the others. It was an endless battle of who was right and who was wrong.
By the end of most nights, Ashley was crying herself to sleep. And Leo wasn’t there to comfort her…
They had grown more distant by the hour.
Last night, for instance, she wanted to spend some time with him over at her place. She had recently rented out her own studio apartment and she had never felt more liberated from her dark past.
Leo had briefly explained that he needed to train for an upcoming assignment. Him and his brothers were in pursuit of a new breed of delinquents that were taking over on the east end of the city. She pleaded one last time, but he had completely tuned her out, and without further discussion, had went into the dojo with his brothers. By the time they were finished, she had been long gone.
On his end, Leo had thought maybe she had understood and continued on about her day. After a nice hot shower, he was ready to take it down. He had a long night ahead of him and a good day’s rest would help him regain some of his energy after earlier’s heavy training.
That’s when he saw the note on his nightstand.
Leo,
I don’t think you’re aware of how much you’ve been hurting me lately with your condescending attitude. I don’t understand how you’re so concerned about my well-being, spying on me all over town, and then completely shutting me out when I’m here to spend time with you.
This is my last warning Leo.
You either make some changes and treat me like the woman that I am. For starters, show me some respect! Or, you can take your “holier-than-thou” self back to where you came from!

His heart sunk. He wanted to understand the note he held in his hand, but there was nothing. He couldn’t remember the last time he had treated her any differently than before.
She had injured him by calling him condescending. And where did she get this crazy idea that he acted as her superior? Sure, he was stern, but he treated everyone equally.
Maybe she was just being a little brat. She was good for that. She didn’t like being told what to do, but never once did she take his advice. He just wanted to protect her. He loved her more than words could say!
How could she not see that?
Maybe telling her he loved her more often would help fix things. He always did suck at expressing himself, but he was positive that he showed her that he cared.
He’ll fix things up with her after this weekend. The next three nights were going to be really busy, and so he figured maybe he’d wait until Monday…

During the weekend Leo had managed to call her, but he hadn’t brung up her letter.
Ashley had expected some form of apology, but none came.
He did none of the things he used to do when things weren’t right between them. No flowers, no apology, nor de he drop by. Each call he made was to keep her updated on how things were going on his side of town. When he asked if she was doing okay, her only reply was that she was fine. She had hoped that he’d get the hint, but no luck. It didn’t matter what their specie’s were, males were plain stupid!
She was now pacing back and forth in her bedroom, looking down at her phone, unsure whether to call him today and let him have it or just continue to hope that he would come around. Surely, he didn’t ignore her letter?
Leo’s room was so immaculate, that he could instantly recognize if anything was out of place. Like that one time she had moved his bonsai because she felt it looked better moved to the right, only to watch him move it back to the left. It was enough for her to understand that he didn’t need to voice his disagreement.
She was becoming restless and decided a nap would help, so she hopped into bed and closed her eyes.
……
Something woke her. She heard the sound of light footsteps right outside her bedroom. It was Leo.
She opened her phone to see the time. It was 7 PM. He was usually here earlier. She was anxious to see him, but she didn’t want to seem so desperate, so she remained calm when she stepped out into the tight living room.
“Hey. I didn’t mean to wake you. My feet are dragging from the exhaustion. This weekend proved to be longer than I anticipated.”
That was all he said. No kiss. No hug. No “How are you doing?” He just pulled off his straps and laid his weapons down on the side of the couch and turned to the kitchen.
Scoff.
“I missed you.”
He turned around and smiled. Nothing. Just a smile.
“Did you miss me?”
Feeling ignored, she crossed her arms, and her feet started tapping the wood beneath them.
“Yea. That’s why I’m here.”
He had just come in from work, but she had spent the last three days waiting for an answer. She needed to know.
“Did you read my letter, Leo?”
He had been so caught up with his latest assignment that he had completely forgotten about her letter, until now.
“Oh, uh, yea. I read it.”
“And?”
If he hadn’t been so occupied with making his homemade tea, he wouldn’t have missed the flames in her eyes and the bulging vein on her forehead.
“And what, Ash?”
He was trying to avoid this discussion altogether. He knew the direction it would take and he was too tired to have this conversation right this minute. He just wanted some tea and to put his feet up for a little while.
His lack of interest in the matter set her on fire. She had had enough! Ashley had reached her breaking point!
“AND WHAT?! That’s all you have to say? See, this is exactly what I mean, Leo! You are so cold to me! Listen, you may be void of emotions, but I for one, like to share what I feel. You walk past me with your nose in the air. You think that because you’re a leader that you’re above me or any of us! I mean look at your brothers. They can’t even get a word in much less share their opinion because you’re so self-absorbed and don’t think that anyone but you is right. You’re as hard as that stupid shell on your back!”
He didn’t want to hear this right now from her. It’s not like he just came back from a trip to Disney or something.
“Ashley, listen, I’m tired. I’m sorry that I have long hours of work. I’m a ninja and the day you agreed to be my girlfriend, I expected you to understand the responsibilities that came with it. Could you please behave like an adult and take a seat? I need a moment.”
Behave like an adult? He needed a moment?
“As usual, you’re so quick to disregard my feelings, Leo! You’re always treating me like a child! I AM NOT A CHILD! I’m telling you how I feel! Don’t you see what’s happening to us? You’ve changed, Leonardo! You’ve changed…”
Tears began to form in her eyes. Seeing this, he got up and grabbed her by her shoulders.
“Ashley, I love you! Isn’t that all that matters? So I spy on you, and what? I’m just making sure nothing happens to you! I know that you’re not a kid, but it wouldn’t hurt you to work with me. I don’t know how to express myself. I’ve spent my entire life in a fucking sewer, Ash! I didn’t have any connection with the outside world for the first 12 or 14 years of my life! I was trained to be a ninja by my dad! This is all that I know. And I thought that by now, you would’ve accepted that! I won’t always have the time to spend every minute of everyday with you, but please understand that I do love you. Please.”
She wiped away the tears that were falling down her burning cheeks with the back of her hands. She reversed her steps, backing up away from him. Once the realization of his words hit her, his form was slowly fading away right before her eyes.
It’s not that he didn’t love her, it’s that he didn’t know how to. She was in a one-sided relationship this entire time. To him, she was just another human that needed protecting and that was how the rest of her life with him would be if she was willing to commit.
If she was going to take this next step, she was going to have to be stronger than she had ever been before. He may have missed his words, but she did not. All that mattered to him was this life, his life. And there was close to no room for love in it. The little bit that he had given her was all that he had to offer. He wasn’t going to change that for anyone, not even her….
“I understand that this is what your world is like, I really do, Leonardo. But I never agreed to a part time relationship. It’s always about you in the end. Your life. Your job. Your family. Your time. Your training. You think that if you’re to be in a relationship, that the other person’s time doesn’t count, then you’re sorely mistaken. This has been nothing more than a toxic relationship! You’re always controlling me, telling me what I can and cannot do. You even threw out some of my clothes because they were too revealing?! I mean come on! You even complain about my fucking posture! The least you could’ve done for me was given me some of your time, but even that was too much to ask for.”
When he tried to move up, she moved back even further. When he looked into her eyes, she wasn’t looking back at him. She was blank. Her words sounded distant, like she had been talking to herself. He didn’t feel like he was a part of this argument anymore. His chest was starting to ache. He was mouth was dry. He felt like someone had tied a rope around his neck, choking him. He was afraid of what she would say next, but before he could make a final plea, the words had spilled from her mouth and his heart had stopped beating…
“We’re done, Leo. You need to leave. Right now. Please just go and never come back. I don’t ever wanna see you again. I can’t, I can’t…”
She was a sobbing mess. Her body was trembling, and when he tried to come back to her and hold her, she pushed him away.
“Ashley, don’t. Don’t do this. Don’t Ash! Don’t you fucking leave me! You can’t do this to us!”
For the first time ever, Leonardo felt powerless. He was always unable to cry, but right then, his eyes welled up with tears, but only one drop escaped and fell down over his lower lid and directly onto the hardwood floor.
“Go Leo. Please. Leave now!”
“Ashley, oh Ashley, don’t. Why? I love you I promise you that I do.”
She mustered all her strength and walked around the sofa to pick up his gear and passed it right over to him. He was reluctant, but he knew right now that he had no other choice.
“Goodbye, Leo.”
This was it. He had lost her. Her entire demeanor was forcing him to move back. He had never seen her like this. So angry. So sad. She was in pain and he didn’t know it, and now it was too late. He could see it in her eyes. She was done with him. For good.
She was right. He hadn’t even bothered to talk to her. And maybe he was a little controlling, but it was for the right reasons. She kept it very short, but those few words had destroyed him from the inside out. Had he really been such an asshole?
Taking his gear out of her hands, he brushed his hands over hers, feeling them for what he knew to be the last time. She pulled her hands away. He retreated and turned around to leave. His steps were delayed and hesitant. Before climbing out of her apartment window, he glanced back one last time.
He was hoping that she would look back. She hadn’t. Ashley slammed her bedroom door shut.
He took off his mask and stealthily climbed back in. He heard her cries, but his heart couldn’t take it. He quickly placed the mask on her coffee table and left.
Right then, Leo quit being a ninja.
At least for a while.
He didn’t go back home that night. Instead he slept on the roof over her apartment.
Even after she thought he was gone, she was still cursing him.
Ashley had crushed his heart.
Would he ever see her again?
He could only hope.
But he doubted it.
He didn’t know where his life would take him now, but at the moment, the only thing he did know was that he had let his love slip right through his fingers.
