T, in honour of devils playoffs and to hopefully remain positive during these crazy times, I have some silly devils questions. if you could pick one player for each of the categories, who would you choose?
One player to miraculously avoid any kind of further injury during the playoff run. like not even a scraped knuckle kind of invincibility.
In that same thread, one player who's on IR to come back in full health but the catch is none of the other injured players will return for the rest of playoffs.
One player to score a history-worthy game-clinching goal that everyone talks about until September.
One player that will most likely give a playoff quote so bizarre during interviews that people begin to meme him and it gets utterly out of hand. He thinks it'll die down over summer but come September the first question he gets is that meme once more.
And last but not least, one player that the bus leaves behind AGAIN. Could be a player that wasn't part of the Original Abandoned Four but could also be a player that was part of the Original Abandoned Four (tragic.)
have fun! 🦭

omg these are so fun, lets go!

I’m going to be incredibly myself and incredibly predictable and say that Nico Hischier should get this one. That’s the heart and soul of this team. Has had a career year offensively. This team can’t seem to win a face off without him. And he deserves to see real playoff success. He didn’t have a stellar offensive playoffs last go around. - In that same thread, one player who’s on IR to come back in full health but the catch is none of the other injured players will return for the rest of playoffs.
This one’s tough because I think Siegs missing is actually the thing thats got us in the hole we’re in and I’m going to be use some out of the box thinking to say Luke hasn’t been placed on IR yet, so if I don’t choose him he’ll be able to come back. But I mean there’s only one answer to this and its Jack Hughes. I miss him so much. I miss his smile I miss his skating I miss his goal scoring. I miss his everything. And so does the team. And so does Nico. Plus, I think his return would truly do numbers for us. Emotionally, hockey-ily, etc. - One player to score a history-worthy game-clinching goal that everyone talks about until September.
This is my own personal agenda (and maybe also @jonasiegenthaler’s agenda), but this will have to be Simon Nemec. I am very concerned about my boy’s future on this team and I need him to have a memorable playoffs so the fanbase will shut up about trading him and so they let Luke keep his boyfriend. I think if he scores a history worthy game clinching goal that might gain him some respite from all the god damn discourse. - One player that will most likely give a playoff quote so bizarre during interviews that people begin to meme him and it gets utterly out of hand. The first player that came to my mind was in fact Cody Glass and you know what I’m going to stick to it. I feel he is so wholesome that he’s going to say something he thinks is so innocuous, but ends up being something insane. Like when I was younger and I was getting a ride home from Mock Trial from my friend’s parents and they asked me if I had a good time at Mock Trial and I wanted to say “we were just jerking around” like being silly goosey and instead I said “we were just jerking off” and the entire car fell silent. - And last but not least, one player that the bus leaves behind AGAIN. Okay, so I was originally gonna say Bratter because I think he would never find himself in such a situation, he’s too on top of things and it would be high comedy if he did, but there is actually a correct answer to this and its Luke Hughes. Very much in the style of that scene from Home Alone where Nico wants to pass something back to Luke on the bus and it goes through the whole team “pass this to Luke” and then comes back with a “Luke’s not here” and then you have a zoom in on Nico’s face going “LUKE!” Cue Luke playing on his Nintendo DS waiting on the curb for the bus to come back for him.
