Ace of Shades on Instagram: "I was commissioned by the lovely folks at Accidentally Wes Anderson (@accidentallywesanderson) to create this lampshade inspired by the decadence of Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret Gin from their Cabinet of Curiosities collection! 💜✨ I used the colors of the bottle to custom dye the silks and fringe, incorporated rose appliqués as it’s one of their signature ingredients, and incorporated thistle appliqués to represent Scotland, where it’s distilled. Grand Cabaret is inspired by a fruit-based libation that was in vogue in Paris in the early 20th century—a time and place that inspires my designs greatly.
