A British charity is helping grieving parents to commemorate the lives of their stillborn babies by photographing them. Sally Peck reports

When an infant dies or is delivered stillborn, distraught parents face the heart-wrenching process of how to memorialize a child who doesn’t survive.

After trying to get pregnant for many years and then Finally doing so, we lost our Greatest joy when I miscarried, My husband and I had a balloon release on my due date to not only remember the baby we wanted and loved so much without even meeting but to give thanks that we have this beautiful angel baby waiting for us in Heaven and we wanted to send up something special for our love.

LITTLE Dottie was born at 9.13pm on April 11.

The loss or still birth of an infant is one of the most heartbreaking tragedies that a family can experience. There's no one right way to grieve over such a loss, so some families have chosen a solemn and beautiful way to immortalize the lives that could have been – family photos together with their lifeless infants.
