Cuttlebug happy birthday embossing folder

I loved the card I saw on Nichole Heady's blog here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2008/04/simple-little-t.html ...And I needed a birthday card, so I used her idea and did what I could with it! I like hers better, but I think mine turned out okay, too! :) ....I colored the vellum with an SU's Olive ink pad & aquapainter. What do you think?

This is the birthday card I made for my sweet DIL! (Happy Birthday Keri!) I like to put lots of color on things, and needed to use up some of my scraps, so I found five pretty colors, cut out the banner strips on my Fiscars paper cutter, placed them all next to each other in my happy birthday embossing folder and embossed them all together! I cut a black card base and glued the strips on leaving just a bit of a space between each one to help make the embossing stand out a bit more. The…

I was browsing FB last night & saw that someone made a card using a napkin & embossing folder. I loved it & said I can do that too. I die cut a balloon onto a post it note & sponged on today's colors. I used Blushing Bride instead of Petal Pink, which I don't have. Then I stamped little images, then embossed with this Cuttlebug ef. I have dessert but you can barely see the stamped stitched hearts, so look close!! Should've used FF for them istead of BB.
