One of the most unique and fun-filled hikes in the Palm Springs area, Ladder Canyon will have you climbing, scrambling, and squeezing your way up to some incredible views from the ridgeline, before you drop back down into the canyon again.

Located near the town of Mecca, this 4.4-mile lollipop loop has about 900 feet of elevation gain. Check road conditions before you head there- the 5-mile stretch of unpaved Painted Canyon Rd. Is rough and can be impassable after a storm.

This area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

What do you think- does it look fun to you?" Karen Smith, Snakes And Ladders, Bureau Of Land Management, Tower Of Terror, Land Management, A Storm, Mecca, Snakes, Palm Springs
