The medieval folks had a mad sense of humor. Here's a knight bunny riding his hound with a "snail of prey" perched on his gauntlet.

The Greyhound emblem of the 17th century publisher and bookseller John Saywell. His company published and sold books from an address ("At the sign of The Greyhound") in Little Britain, Without Aldergate, in the City of London. The printer was E. Tyler Esq.
