The aim of this study was to determine the optimal duration of planned delay before surgery in patients who have had SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. This international, multicentre, prospective cohort study included patients undergoing elective or emergency surgery during October 2020. Method: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the University College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore, Pakistan, from December, 2015, to January, 2016, and comprised undergraduate medical students of either gender in all the five years of their course. Data was collected using the student version of the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy. Data was analysed using SPSS 20. Results: Of the 260 students, 153(58.9%) were females and 107(41.1%) were males. Overall mean empathy level was 90.63±11.55. Females scored higher than males (p<0.05). The highest empathy level was seen among the First Year medical students 93.39±9.11, while the lowest was seen in Third Year students 87.71±13.94. Conclusion: Overall empathy level was seriously low, indicating the need for curricular reforms.

Methodology: It was a randomized controlled trial conducted at Pediatric ward of Nawaz Sharif social security Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan over a period of six months from December 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014. A total of 60 patients were included in this study and were divided into two groups. Both groups were given ceftriaxone for 10; Group-A was given vitamin K, 5mg intravenously – single dose on day third of antibiotic therapy and Group-B served as control and vitamin K was not given. Results: Mean age was 1.84±2.5 and 1.16±1.0 in group-A and B, respectively. Protime (PT) was within normal range in all patients (100.0%) of group A and 22 patients (73.3%) in group B. Method: A government medical college of Sargodha & a Private medical college of Lahore were chosen for the study. Study was conducted from May to June 2019. 200 Final year MBBS students were given a questionnaire named Pakistani LAMPS validated through a pilot study. Non probability purposive sampling technique was used. We applied statistical test chi square used for analysis in SPSS 21 version. For this, 125 surface swabs of different environmental samples were taken from PNS SHIFA hospital, Karachi, Pakistan. Bacteria and fungi were isolated and identified by culture plate method. Trypticase soy broth (TBS) media was used for biofilm development by microbes in plastic tubes. Developed biofilm in tubes was visualized with crystal violet staining method and then biofilm forming potential was estimated by measuring the optical density through spectrophotometer. Total 202 microbes including 126(62.38%) bacteria and 76(37.62%) fungi were isolated and identified. Among environmental samples, hospital ward curtains and medical trays were highly contaminated with bacteria and fungi (with 26% each of total assemblage respectively). Because of the increased gas leaks, residential safety has been a serious concern in recent years. Hazardous gases such as propane and methane are flammable, and if contained in close proximity might trigger explosions Installing gas monitoring systems in sensitive areas is one of the preventative techniques for eliminating fatalities caused by gas leakage. The technique presented in this paper includes the identification and reporting of dangerous gases in a region by designing a Gas control and monitoring system (GCMS) that can automatically detect, alert and control hazardous gas leakage. It is quite easy to handle as users will only have to press buttons at the designed HMI (Human machine interface).
