The perceptions of a group of managers about the professional skills necessary for an ideal teach... more The perceptions of a group of managers about the professional skills necessary for an ideal teaching performance in secondary education are explored. A qualitative approach and axial coding of interviews analyzed with the Atlas.Ti software are applied. Training competencies were identified, which, in turn, are organized into four categories articulated with the domains established in the theoretical-teleological reference of the Framework for Good Teaching 2021. In addition to the competencies to achieve flexible planning, the disciplinary domain is evident., didactic and evaluative of the subject being taught, an emphasis on socio-emotional skills, given the relevance of interaction and socio-emotional commitment in teachinglearning processes. The findings suggest that initial teacher training programs should focus on the development of these competencies to respond effectively to the demands of current education. The incorporation of these guidelines in the curricula of pedagogy careers is recommended, so that future teachers can successfully face current educational challenges, thus increasing their professional suitability, the perception of teaching self-efficacy and their ability to promote meaningful learning. and inclusive of their students.
This article reflects on managerialist policies and their role as a central axis in educational m... more This article reflects on managerialist policies and their role as a central axis in educational management. This thesis maintains that these policies have consolidated a system capable of modifying and imposing changes in the work of educational institutions and actors. The writing focuses on two arguments. The first places managerialist policies as a new way of exercising control and regulation through the validation of mechanisms based on decentralization, standardization, privatization, and accountability. The second argument is based on the distortion of pedagogical practices, subordination, and deprofessionalization of teaching work as a consequence of the discourse of quality and effectiveness. This reflection aims to contribute to the theoretical debate on managerialist policies and their role in strengthening an instrumental vision of Education based on academic results as synonyms of quality and its implications for teaching.

La... more El artículo tiene por objetivo reflexionar en la posibilidad de una universidad descolonizada. La tesis apunta a que es posible y necesario descolonizar la universidad, haciendo uso de modelos emergentes de pensamiento que dialoguen entre sí. El escrito se basa en dos argumentos: el primero presenta a la ecología de saberes como una estrategia de transformación que cuestiona la monocultura del saber y el segundo, sustentado en la transdisciplinariedad y diálogo de saberes, como un acercamiento práctico a la posibilidad de repensar la educación. La reflexión pretende contribuir al debate teórico sobre la universidad latinoamericana y su actual rol.

Recently, the national Curricular Framework in Chile has included this perspective as one of the curricular axes along with the axes of reading, writing and oral communication for the subject of Language and Literature. The objective of this article is to determine to what extent the pedagogical practices declared by a group of teachers favor the achievement of the learning objectives corresponding to the axis of research in language and literature. Numerosos estudios han evidenciado los beneficios de desarrollar procesos en los que ... more Numerosos estudios han evidenciado los beneficios de desarrollar procesos en los que el alumnado debe investigar. Recientemente, el Marco Curricular nacional, en Chile, ha incluido esta perspectiva como uno de los ejes curriculares junto con los ejes de lectura, escritura y comunicación oral para la asignatura de lengua y literatura. El objetivo de este artículo es determinar en qué medida las prácticas pedagógicas declaradas por un conjunto de docentes favorecen el logro de los objetivos de aprendizaje correspondiente al eje de investigación en lengua y literatura. El artículo se realizó sobre la base del paradigma comprensivo-interpretativo, específicamente, desde una metodología cualitativa y un enfoque basado en la fenomenología hermenéutica. Como técnica de recolección de información, se utilizó la entrevista semiestructurada, la que se aplicó a cinco docentes de lengua y literatura de enseñanza media de la ciudad de Chillán en el año 2019, mientras que el proceso de análisis se llevó a cabo por medio de categorización mixta con el apoyo de Atlas.ti. Los resultados principales indican que el profesorado valora positivamente el eje de investigación, porque contribuye al desarrollo de procesos cognitivos superiores e impacta en el ámbito académico y personal del estudiantado. Sin embargo, lo integran esporádicamente en sus clases porque enfatizan los ejes curriculares contemplados en pruebas estandarizadas. Se concluye que el abordaje del eje de investigación presenta un doble desafío para el profesorado, puesto que le demanda fortalecer y profundizar su propia capacidad crítica y reflexiva para, posteriormente, desarrollar esta capacidad en sus estudiantes.
