Tembagapura is a mountainous area in Mimika Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia, which is rich in ... more Tembagapura is a mountainous area in Mimika Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia, which is rich in natural resources, so that this area has its own charm; so it is also chosen as a place to live by people from many different regions from all over Indonesia. Based on observation, people generally come to Tembagapura for working as their effort to improve their well-being. The aim of this study was to examine the contribution of gender on life satisfaction of non-home region workers. The respondents of this study were the people, who live in Tembagapura, Papua, Indonesia. Ex-post facto prospective research was conducted by involving 60 men and 40 women working in Tembagapura (N = 100). The instrument in this study used SWLS (Satisfaction With Life Scale) by providing five important questions concerning the self-evaluation of respondents by comparing them to the predetermined standards. Data were processed using linear regression analysis. The results of regression analysis showed that the coefficient of determination is r 2 = 0.074, which means that 7.4% variance of life satisfaction variable is affected by the gender, while the other 92.6% is affected by the other variables. There is a significant effect of gender on life satisfaction of workers living in Tembagapura, Papua, Indonesia, with p = 0.000 (<0.05). It can be concluded that gender can be used to predict the life satisfaction of workers living in Tembagapura,

Education plays a crucial role in the development of human civilization in a country. Through edu... more Education plays a crucial role in the development of human civilization in a country. Through education, humans grow and develop to build an intellectual power, which has been naturally acquired since birth. Without education, humans would hardly adapt to the modern environment as of now. In education, learning process is significantly influential in building the learners' intellectual power. Meanwhile, Higher Education is required to produce employable graduates, who have professionalism in the related field of study, independence, creativity, and logical thinking. The success or failure of a learning process is affected by several factors, such as lecturer, learner, and material. By using descriptive and qualitative approaches, through participatory observations and interviews, the findings show that the Higher Educations in the Central Mountainous Region of Papua, Indonesia, especially the lecturers have experienced a dilemmatic teaching. On the one hand, lecturers are required to improve the institutional quality; but in another hand, human resourses, infrastructures, and funds are unavailable. Therefore, it is highly challenging to develop the Higher Educations in the Central Mountainous Region of Papua, Indonesia. Creativity is needed in managing Higher Education in the midst various limitations. This paper elaborates the learning concept of Higher Education students in the Central Mountainous Region of Papua, Indonesia.

The aim of the study was to analyze the implementation of agroforestry programs in community empowerment in Jayawijaya District conducted in Walelagama District. The implementation of the community empowerment policy through the Agroforestry program in the context of preserving forest areas in the Walelagama District of Jayawijaya requires an approach both vertically and horizontally, because the efforts to restore forest ecosystems must be carried out by the local government that is supported by a budget and personnel and full community participation and Management Agroforestry programs in the Jayawijaya Regency area are based on three main stages. The implementation of the Agroforestry program in empowering forest communities in Walelagama District in Jayawijaya Regency is strongly influenced by several factors, namely, the bureaucratic structure, resources, and the disposition factor as the attitude of the implementers.

In this situation, Yayasan Pendidikan Islam (Yapis) di Tanah Papua emerges as one of institutions committed in helping the people and government in Tanah Papua to improve the quality of human resources intensively. Yapis has contributed significantly to improve quality of human resources is 198 educational institutions have spread from basic education to higher education in Tanah Papua. This research was carried out with a qualitative design with a case study format. Information containing data and facts was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies from main sources, such as Yapis administrators, managers of educational institutions (UPT) under Yapis, students, and stakeholders. Analysis of the validity of the information obtained in this paper using the data cross-check method. The results show that Yapis's strategic planning in the development of human resources in Tanah Papua includes the decision on policies regarding the establishment and development of UPTs under Yapis, planning for the availability of human resources, attractiveness of educational facilities and infrastructure to the existence of extra-curricular activities (extracurricular), cadre and fulfilment the welfare of Yapis human resources optimally.

Design/methodology/approach-The researchers use quantitative research methods with associative to determine the effect of work ethic on employee performance at the Office of Culture and Tourism of Jayawijaya Regency. This research uses library research instruments, observation, documentation, and questionnaires with a Likert Scale. Findings-Results revealed a positive and significant influence between the assessment of Work Ethics and Employee Performance at the Office of Culture and Tourism of Jayawijaya Regency. Practical Implications-The success of an employee's performance can be determined if an agency has a work evaluation system. So an employee must follow the rules and instructions so that later it can be in accordance with the goals of the previous agency.

So in order to boost the process the text reorganization using digital image processing techniques can be used. This research work is using hybrid algorithms and morphological algorithms. For sample we have taken an letter pad where the text and images are separated using algorithms. The another objective of this research is to increase the accuracy of recognized text and produce accurate results. This research worked on two different concepts, first is concept of Pixel-level thresholding processing and another one is Otsu Method thresholding.

The samples in this study were 50 respondents, consisting of 25 structural apparatus and 25 functional apparatus. The results of study show that there are differences of performance, discipline and cooperation between structural and functional apparatus, but there is no difference in service orientation.

In 2015, Indonesia occupied the first warning about interactions with halal lifestyle, this has a good potential to increase the development of halal tourism in Indonesia. The digital age has become an important part in the development of halal tourism because it has now entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In 2018, internet users in Indonesia are around 64.8% and the main reason for using the internet is to communicate. Social Media as the most chosen platform for communication. This study aims to determine the effect of social media marketing on Muslim tourist interest in halal tourist destinations. This research uses a quantitative approach with SEM analysis which is processed through Lisrel. The survey was conducted on 304 respondents. The exogenous variables used are Social Media Marketing, Sharia Compliance in Social Media Marketing, and Sharia Compliance in Destination, while the endogenous variables used are attitude towards destination and intention to visit. The results obtained, social media marketing and sharia compliance in the destination have a positive relationship on attitude, and attitude has a significant effect on intention, while sharia compliance in social media marketing has no significant effect on attitude.
