The model consists of 3 sub-models; a block for reactor kinetics, thermal hydraulics and the reactivity feedback calculations. By implementation of the LFR core simulator, the response of the reactor has been shown for various test inputs. Certain events have been simulated in the LFR core (unprotected transient of overpower, loss of heat sink, loss of flow and a SCRAM shutdown). A sensitivity analysis has been performed and it is observed that the LFR core power is the most sensitive to changes in the average coolant temperature. A stability analysis has been performed to show that the LFR core has a stable configuration (for its normal operating conditions). Similarly, a noise analysis has revealed that the output parameters have the most adverse effect in case of a Gaussian noise being introduced in the reactivity of the core.

It is typically associated with intrapelvic malignancies and diseases causing retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy and retroperitoneal fibrosis. As these conditions may prevent radiographic dilation of the collecting system, the diagnosis of NDOU may be missed by usual diagnostic testing. Presenting concerns of the patient: We present a case of acute anuric renal failure in a middle-aged woman with metastatic breast cancer associated with abdominal and retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy. Acute kidney injury was initially deemed secondary to drug-induced acute tubular necrosis (ATN) from bisphosphonate; however, there remained a high clinical suspicion of NDOU due to the presence of enlarged retroperitoneal lymph nodes on CT abdomen and pelvis with concerns for encasement of bilateral renal pelvic regions and ureters. Diagnoses: The patient under...

This helps to determine the natural variance/uncertainty in the wind speed, which is very useful for predicting the wind power potential in an area. For this, a huge amount of data is required to be processed (from wind speed sensor measurements) and mathematical algorithms are required for rapid reconstruction of the wind field. The Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) have been presented, which can be applied for reconstructing the wind field around obstruction models using CFD basis. The absolute reconstruction error tends to increase with an increase in the inlet velocity. The relative accuracy of NMF and PCA are subject to the sampling rate of the measurement, but there is no influence on the distribution of the wind speed sensors around the obstructions model (above a sampling rate of 0.05%). By application of these reconstruction models using WSR, it has been concluded that the NMF and PCA can be adequately used to reconstruct the wind field around an obstruction model.

Its high time that new medicinal products need to be investigated to tackle this problem. Synthesis and characterization of metal-based Sulfa drugs have gained a lot of attention in past few decades, because of their enhanced therapeutic applications. Current study includes the synthesis and characterization of a sulphanilamide ligand and its metal complexes by reacting Sulphanilamide and P-toluene sulphonyl chloride and then reacting them with ten different metals like zinc, copper, iron, tin and antimony to make their metal complexes and to prepare new metallodrugs with improved biological activities. Biological activity of the compounds were determined by screening ligand and metal complexes for antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant potential. All complexes were successfully made and are found to have significant antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant activity. In Infrared Spectroscopes the absence of primary stretch fr...

Patients having this disease mostly suffered from respiratory disorders from a previously unknown causative agent. It was thought that this novel pathogen emerged from the seafood market of Wuhan. The causative agent is identified as a closely related member of severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV). Coronaviruses family is a large family which contains several viruses including Middle East Respiratory Syndrome virus (MERS-CoV) besides SARS-CoV. The first case which was reported in Wuhan December 2019 had symptoms resembling to (SARS) and MERS. Historically this family of Corona viruses has had a major health and socio-economic impact. In 2003, the SARS-CoV caused 8096 infections worldwide with a case-fatality rate of 9.6% and a total 1.

Patients and methods: Study was conducted in the department of urology, DHQ Hospital Vehari, in about 1-year i-e from July 2004 to June 2005. Sixty patients with an age range of 45-85 years were included in the study. Data was collected prospectively. Patients were assessed according to the international prostate symptom score (I-PSS) at the start of study, during follow up and at the end of study. Results: Out of sixty patients, fifty-two were able to complete the study. It was observed that most of the patients obtained a significant decrease in the prostate symptoms score and improvement in QoL score, with only a few side effects. Conclusion: Terazosin is a safe and effective treatment for BPH with good compliance.
