Since the first European observation in 2015 of Erthesina fullo (Thunberg, 1783) (Hemiptera: Hete... more Since the first European observation in 2015 of Erthesina fullo (Thunberg, 1783) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Halyini) in Albania in the region of Durrës and Tirana, observations have remained limited to this 40 km wide region. The number of observations of E. fullo increased significantly in this region in 2023 and 2024. For the first time, we mention the presence of an adult and a nymph in Greece. The specimens were observed in October 2024 in Rio in the Peloponnesus near the port of Patras.

Recently, the first record of the invasive Nearctic bug species Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidema... more Recently, the first record of the invasive Nearctic bug species Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 (Heteroptera: Coreidae) for the Canary Islands (Spain) was reported from the island of Gran Canaria (LUGO et al., 2023). Shortly after, the first record of the species for the island of La Gomera was reported (VAN DER HEYDEN, 2023). Herein, the first record of L. occidentalis for the island of Tenerife is reported: On 12-10-2024, an adult specimen was found near the road between the Mirador Diseminado Casas de La Cumbre and the Ermita San José Obrero in the northern part of the island. Two photographs of the specimen were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here).

In Macaronesia, Eurydema oleracea (Linnaeus, 1758) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) is only present in t... more In Macaronesia, Eurydema oleracea (Linnaeus, 1758) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) is only present in the Azores. Eurydema lundbladi Lindberg, 1960 and Eurydema ornata (Linnaeus, 1758) are present in the Canary Islands. No Eurydema Laporte, 1832 species has been found in the Cape Verde Islands. Eurydema ventralis Kolenati, 1846 is observed for the first time on the island of Madeira and in Macaronesia, bringing the number of Eurydema species present on Madeira to four, with Eurydema herbacea (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1834), E. lundbladi and E. ornata, and to five in Macaronesia.

Recently, the first record of the invasive Nearctic bug species Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidema... more Recently, the first record of the invasive Nearctic bug species Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 (Heteroptera: Coreidae) for the Canary Islands (Spain) was reported from the island of Gran Canaria (LUGO et al., 2023). Shortly after, the first record of the species for the island of La Gomera was reported (VAN DER HEYDEN, 2023).
