To introduce more sorghum is by intercropping with peanuts without reducing the production of this main crop. This experiment aims to determine the pattern of plant arrangement and the best planting time in the peanut-sorghum intercropping system; indicated by the best growth and yield of peanut and sorghum plants. The experiment was conducted in Papak Village, Gangga, North Lombok by using a factorial randomized block design with 2 treatment factors, sowing time and plant arrangement. Sowing time of peanuts was carried out 14 days before, at the same time and 14 days after sorghum, while plant arrangement consisted of: intercropping of 1 row of sorghum on 1 row of peanuts, 2 rows of peanuts, 3 rows of peanuts, and 4 rows of peanuts; Overall, this experiment consisted of 12 treatment plots, replicated 3 times, so there were 36 experimental plots. The results show that sowing peanuts before sowing sorghum gave the highest yield of peanut and plant arrangement with 1 row of sorghum in every 4 rows of peanuts showing the best yield in this peanut-sorghum intercropping.
This study aims to determine the effect of differences in pH on the growth and yield of pakcoy (B... more This study aims to determine the effect of differences in pH on the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) cultivated in the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system. The experiment was carried out from November 2022 to March 2023, at Unram Farming in Nyur Lembang Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments, namely pH = 5, pH = 6.5 and pH = 8, each of which was repeated nine times. The results showed that the treatment with different pH had a significantly different effect on the growth and yield of pakcoy on all parameters except for plant height at 6 and 12 HST and number of leaves at 6 HST. The best growth and yield of pakcoy was obtained from P2 treatment (pH: 6.5), while the worst growth and yield of pakcoy was obtained from P3 treatment (pH: 8).

Jagung manis dapat ditanam di dataran rendah, tetapi brokoli biasanya ditanam di dataran tinggi dengan temperature rendah. Lahan pertanian di dataran tinggi semakin sempit, sehingga diperlukan perluasan areal tanam ke dataran medium, temperature cukup tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penanaman brokoli di dataran medium memerlukan tanaman naungan agar suhu sekitar tanaman tidak terlalu tinggi, salah satunya tumpangsari dengan tanaman jagung manis. Tumpangsari adalah menanam lebih dari satu jenis tanaman pada areal yang sama dan waktu yang bersamaan dengan tujuan memanfaatkan faktor produksi yang secara optimal. Tumpangsari memiliki berbagai keuntungan diantaranya mengurangi resiko gagal panen, meningkatkan produktivitas lahan dan mendapatkan produksi pendapatan yang lebih tinggi.

The present study aimed to evaluate soil chemical properties and growth of maize plants treated with several types of manure to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers in sandy soil. An experiment was conducted in dryland with pumped deep-well water in Gumantar Village, North Lombok Regency, from May to July 2021. There were three types of manure tested: cow, poultry, and goat manures (20 ton/ha) treated with and without BeKa decomposer. All the manure treatments received 75% of chemical fertilizers applied in the control treatment (500 kg of urea and 380 kg/ha of NPK Phonska). The treatments were arranged in a randomized block design with three replicates. The results showed that the poultry manure treatments, with and without decomposer, increased soil pH significantly. This study aimed to assess possible roles of a commercially available organic soil ameliorant (OSA) and foliar organic fertilizer (FOF) to improve maize yield and to reduce IF input in a dryland semiarid area. One experiment with seven treatments were tested, namely: (A) 100% of IF doses, that consisted of 500 kg of urea and 360 kg of NPK Phonska (15-15-15) per hectare, (B) Treatment A plus OSA and FOF, (C) 70% of IF doses plus OSA and FOF, (D) Treatment A plus OSA, (E) 70% of IF plus OSA, (F) Treatment A pus FOF, and (G) 70% of IF plus FOF. This study aimed to examine the effect of mycorrhiza application in the nursery and intercropping with peanut or shallot in the field on growth and yield of several varieties of small chili. The experiment was arranged according to Split Split-Plot Design with three treatment factors, namely chili varieties as the main plots (V1=“Siung”, V2=“Sret”, V3=“Dewata F1”, V4=“Pelita F1”), mycorrhiza as the subplots (M0=without; M1=with mycorrhiza application), and intercropping as the sub-subplots (T0=monocrop, T1=intercropping with peanut, T2=intercropping with shallot). Pemberian bahan organik sering tidak dilakukan karena terkendala oleh sifat bahan organik yang rengkah (bulky), sehingga upaya mendatangkan bahan organik dari luar usaha tani menjadi sesuatu yang relatif mahal karena diperlukan ruang penyimpanan yang besar, diperlukan alat pengangkutan untuk membawanya ke lokasi tempat dibutuhkan, dan dibutuhkan banyak tenaga kerja ketika diaplikasikan. The present study aimed to evaluate soil chemical properties and growth of maize plants treated with several types of manure to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers in sandy soil. An experiment was conducted in dryland with pumped deep-well water in Gumantar Village, North Lombok Regency, from May to July 2021. There were three types of manure tested: cow, poultry, and goat manures (20 ton/ha) treated with and without BeKa decomposer. All the manure treatments received 75% of chemical fertilizers applied in the control treatment (500 kg of urea and 380 kg/ha of NPK Phonska). The treatments were arranged in a randomized block design with three replicates. The results showed that the poultry manure treatments, with and without decomposer, increased soil pH significantly. This study aimed to assess possible roles of a commercially available organic soil ameliorant (OSA) and foliar organic fertilizer (FOF) to improve maize yield and to reduce IF input in a dryland semiarid area. One experiment with seven treatments were tested, namely: (A) 100% of IF doses, that consisted of 500 kg of urea and 360 kg of NPK Phonska (15-15-15) per hectare, (B) Treatment A plus OSA and FOF, (C) 70% of IF doses plus OSA and FOF, (D) Treatment A plus OSA, (E) 70% of IF plus OSA, (F) Treatment A pus FOF, and (G) 70% of IF plus FOF. The experiment was carried out at Mataram University experimental field in Narmada, West Lombok, NTB with an altitude of 136 m above sea level, from April to July 2019. The experiment was designed according a factorialy Randomized Completed Block Design (RCBD). The first factor consisted of 4 volumes of the media which i.e: 2000 cm3/20 x 20 cm, 4000 cm3/25 x 25 cm, 5000 cm3/30 x 25 cm and 7000 cm3/30 x 30 cm.
