The airborne hurricane tracking is an important method compared with the space borne method, which is developed by NASA Marshall Space Flight center to provide high resolution measurements. By flying special aircraft equipment using synthetic thinned array radiometry technology and included all critical measurements such as hurricane eye location, speed of wind and the pressure. This paper describes the data analysis of best track positions for Hurricane Gonzalo based on the date collected by airborne microwave radiometry. Significant analysis comes from comparing the airborne data with the surface observations from ship reports. The vast majority is to estimate peak intensity and minimum central pressure of Gonzalo from 12 to 19 October 2014, based on blend of SFMR flight-level winds and pressure retrievals from observing brightness temperatures. SFMR: Stepped-Frequency Microwave Radiometer is a highly developed tool developed by the Langley Research Center that is designed to measure the wind speed at the ocean's surface, and the rain fall rates within the storm accurately and continuously. The work also addresses the realistic details of the locations and the valuable information about the pressure and wind speed, which is very critical to predict the growth and movement to get the idea for future monitoring of the hurricane disasters. Also presents a conceptual of step frequency microwave radiometer in airborne side. The objective of this research is tracking analysis techniques based on comparing the satellite, ship and airborne reports to get higher accuracy. The system operates at four spaced frequencies in the range between 4 GHz and 7 GHz provides wide measurements between ± 45 incidence angle. Gonzalo 2014 is an example; the best results of retrieved wind speed, locations and pressure are presented. There are several national projects have been developed for earth observation, such as fire, hurricane and border surveillance. In this work, the efficient high resolution techniques of C-band, four-frequency, the work also addresses a valuable information comes from the airborne system and the prediction way of the growth and movement of hurricanes. In passive microwave remote sensing from space at C band has the penetrating advantages of atmosphere. Airborne system is able to work in full Polari-metric in four bands, C, X, S, L and P-band, which cover the wavelengths from 3 to 85 cm. The modes of measurement contain single channel operation wavelength and polarization.

The functional characteristics of the antenna such as return loss, VSWR, radiation pattern and gain are evaluated. Compact size and multi-band compatibility are the major design requirements of fractal antenna. The proposed antenna has the dimension of 20mm X 20mm and it supports dual band which is designed in FR4 substrate. It resonates at 5.9 GHz and 8.8 GHz with the return loss of-33dB,-16dB, respectively. Further, the performance of the antenna is analyzed by varying feed position, feed width and substrate thickness. By the analysis, we concluded that the proposed antenna have better performance at left feed position with 0.9mm of feed width at the substrate thickness of 3.2mm.

The influence of the various parameters governing absorption is demonstrated : dielectric constant, conductivity, thickness of slab and frequency. It is shown that for several combinations of values for these parameters absorption can be maximized to up to unity, i.e. all the incident power is absorbed.
This paper proposes a design of 0.15μm Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) power ampli... more This paper proposes a design of 0.15μm Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) power amplifier using GaAs pHEMT technology at 2.4 GHz which employs feed forward linearization technique to improve linearity. The amplifier is designed to operate in personal communication systems (PCS) frequency range using WIN semiconductor GaAs pHEMT technology. Single stage power amplifier is designed in lumped and distributed components with its layout. Linearity of PA is improved by Feed forward Linearization technique. To evaluate the performance of proposed linearized amplifier, Advanced Design system (ADS) tool is used. The designed circuit results with 13.65dBm output power at 1dB compression point (P1dB), 6dB power gain and maximum Power added efficiency of 16.4%. Linearity achieved by feed forward linearizer circuit with third order intermodulation suppression of 30dBc for the output power level of 8.217dBm and 1dB compression point at an input power of 15 dBm whereas 6 dBm for the Power amplifier without feed forward linearizer circuit. The designed Power amplifier system with feed forward linearizer had IMD3 suppression of 30dBc which is in appreciable range with improvement in 1dB compression point.
This paper presents the design, simulation and fabrication of simple C band orthomode transducer ... more This paper presents the design, simulation and fabrication of simple C band orthomode transducer (OMT) machined in two identical parts for manufacturing easiness. This device offers compact size and high electrical performance. The device consists of a common circular input port and rectangular ports for horizontal and vertical polarization separation. The common port has a direct transition from circular to rectangular waveguide for the through port coupling. The side port coupling is done via coupling slot and waveguide transition. The design of the device utilises the concept of class I asymmetric based OMT and intermediate truncated circular waveguide. The device is simulated and optimised in CST Microwave Studio and the simulated results of the device are compared with the measured results. The measured return losses of the both rectangular ports are better than 20dB, port to port isolation greater than 50dB and cross-polarization discrimination better than 35dB.The measured results were in good agreement with the simulated results.

The radio refractive index structure of the lower section of the atmospheric boundary layer is cr... more The radio refractive index structure of the lower section of the atmospheric boundary layer is critical in the planning and construction of microwave communication connections. This study analyses the refractivity profile carried out in Mowe (6.8085° N, 3.4367° E) SouthWestern Nigeria. Ground measurements of air pressure, temperature, and relative humidity used in this investigation were collected from the rain gauge of the Tropospheric Observatory Data Acquisition Network (TRODAN). The radio refractivity, associated refractivity gradient and climatic factor were computed using data from January 2012 to December 2013. The vertical distributions of radio refractivity were then calculated using these parameters. Seasonal fluctuations in refractivity are visible over the location, with high values in the wet season and low values in the dry season. The findings also suggest that propagation circumstances fluctuate in frequency, with sub-refractive situations being most common between April and September. This is an indication that microwave link in Mowe will suffer higher signal loss during wet season, while the loss may be mild during the dry season. The refractivity values in this study are expected to aid in determining the necessary mitigation to be put in place to reduce loss of signal in Mowe.

The architecture of first model consists of arrangement of circular patches in a square array and second model is prepared with a triangular array of circular protrusions. Both the architectures consists of upper and lower layers of protrusions. The reflection phase characteristics of above two structures are studied, In multi-layer environment the effect of some parameters on the reflection phase characteristic is discussed.
