The 1987 Libertarian National Convention was held in Seattle, Washington, from September 4 to September 6, 1987. Ron Paul of Texas was chosen as the party's presidential candidate, becoming the Libertarian Party candidate for President of the United States in the 1988 Election.[1]
Libertarians hold a National Convention every two years to vote on party bylaws, platform and resolutions and elect national party officers and a judicial committee. Every four years it nominates presidential and vice presidential candidates.[2]
