Academy Award for Technical Achievement
The 'Technical Achievement Award’ , formerly a Class III award, is one class of Scientific and Technical Award given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to those whose particular technical accomplishments have contributed to the progress of the motion picture industry. The award given is a framed certificate, which describes the achievement and lists the names of this being honored for the particular contribution.[1] These awards are usually given at a dinner ceremony held weeks prior to the Academy Awards broadcast and a brief excerpt is shown in the Oscars telecast.
