Adam Zemke

Adam Zemke is a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives. He has represented Michigan's 55th district since January 1, 2013.[1]

Zemke is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he attended Ann Arbor Public Schools.[1] He received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University.[2]

In 2013, Zemke co-sponsored legislation with Jeff Irwin (D) to legalize same-sex marriage in Michigan, recognize same-sex marriages that were licensed in other states, and reverse the state's ban on extending health benefits to domestic partners of public employees.[3]
