All Saints Catholic Secondary School is a secondary school located in Whitby, Ontario, Canada open for students in grades 9–12. It offers a broad range of academic programs including Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), Cooperative Education (Co-Op), Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM), Advanced Placement (AP), French Immersion (phasing out), Head Start, Centre for Success/Reconnect, and Electronic learning.[1]
The school also has a wide variety of extracurricular activities to fulfill students academically, athletically, artistically, and/or spiritually[citation needed]. It is located adjacent to Donald A Wilson Secondary School.
Athletics
All Saints Catholic Secondary School offers a fairly wide range of athletic teams including basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, tennis, ultimate frisbee, badminton, golf, cross country, track and field, swimming, and curling. Most recently, All Saints student Thomas Witkowicz has become one of the best long distance runners in Canada. In 2014 alone, he won Ontario gold, and went on to win Canada gold in November 2014.
Clubs
All Saints offers many different organizations that its students can choose to be a part of, such as the traditional Student Council. Other popular clubs include Chaplaincy, Development and Peace, Environmental Club, 24-Hour Famine, Terry Fox Committee, White Pine Reading, Debate Team, French Club, Japanese Club, Writers Club, Robotics Team, Black History Month, Stomping Out Stigma, Knitting Club, Slam Poetry, Harmony, Weight Training Club, Mixed Ensemble Choir, the Junior and Senior Jazz Band, and the junior and senior concert band.
