Bangladeshi Canadians are Canadian citizens of Bangladeshi descent or a Bangladesh-born person who resides in Canada. It is estimated that 24,595 Bangladeshi people who live in Canada,[2] primarily in provinces like Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, and Alberta. They live in cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa. There are many Bangladeshi shops and restaurants in Toronto's Danforth Village between Dawes Road and Victoria Park Avenue.

The official number of Bangladeshi Canadians as of 2006 is 24,600 only. According to Statistics Canada, the Bangladeshi-Canadian population as determined by the 2006 census in the 10 Canadian provinces and 3 territories were:[3]

- Naz Hossain, parents from Bangladesh, born in Yugoslavia and raised in Singapore and Malaysia. Naz has achieved tremendous success in the field of High Corporate Finance with Investors Group Inc. He earned his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and his Masters of Science.
- Amit Chakma, from the ethnic Chakma tribe in southeast Bangladesh, president of University of Western Ontario.
- Delwar Jahid, from Bangladesh journalist, academic and writer, currently in Edmonton, president of Bangladesh PressClub of Alberta and Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta
