Blake Gates Masters (born August 5, 1986) is an American politician, author and entrepreneur. He is the co-author, with Peter Thiel, of the 2014 book Zero to One.[1] The book is based on notes Blake took in his class, CS 183: Startup. Blake's notes now have over 648,000 views.[2] He graduated from Stanford and Stanford Law. Blake has used his knowledge of law to co-found Judicata. Masters was later chief operating officer of the Thiel's hedge fund, Thiel Capital, and also president of the Thiel Foundation. Masters is seeking the Republican Party nomination in the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Arizona, facing state Attorney General Mark Brnovich and businessman Jim Lamon. Throughout his campaign, he has aligned himself with Thiel and former president Donald Trump, both of whom endorsed him in June 2022.
