Budiman Mohd Zohdi is the leader of Serang, which is a group of young people from Selangor that is criticizing the administration of the state of Selangor. They usually organize carnivals, stage performance and poem recitation in order to attract more young people to their cause.[1]

Personal life

Zohdi lives in Sungai Besar with his wife Norma Aida Abdullah and daughter Aida Jasmin Kirana.

Education

After completing his SPM Malaysian School Certificate Budiman went to the National University of Malaysia. He completed his study and receive a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (1997). After that he went to pursue his masters in University Putra Malaysia and graduated with the master's degree in Communication right around in the year 2003.

In 1992 he received a diploma from Polytechnic in Kota Baru, Kelantan. Budiman also has a Neuro-linguistic programming certificate from the prestigious NFNLP USA (Dr William Horton).

Career

He works for Telekom Malaysia designated as a Manager for training and quality, under the Group Business Assurance Team.[2]

Serang

SERANG is the acronym for "Sekreteriat Orang Muda Selangor" or the Selangor Young People Secretariat. It criticizes the Pakatan Rakyat-led state, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The objective of this NGO is to remind the Pakatan Rakyat leaders that there are much more promises that they have not fulfilled.[3]

Some of the issues brought forward by Zohdi and his comrades are the free education promised by Pakatan Rakyat[4]

Awards and recognition

Zohdi was awarded the "Pingat Pangkuan Negara", which is awarded to those who are active in non-governmental organization.[5] Zohdi also received a national youth award in 2011.
