Hugo Gottesmann, violinist, violist, conductor, born 1896 Vienna, Austria, died Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. Graduated from the Akademiemusik Wien 1915 with highest honor - Staatspreis. Student of Otakar Sevcik. Leader of the Internationally known Gottesmann Quartet. Concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony 1919 until 1933. Performed Beethoven Concerto with Vienna Philharmonic 1928 on International Radio. Member of the Akademiemusik Wien Faculty, Conductor of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo 1943-44 National Tour, Member of Busch Quartet 1946-1952.
