This category contains married couples in which both partners hold substantive knighthoods, including knighthoods/damehoods received after one spouse has died. Does not include baronets or inherited baronetcies which carry the title of "Sir", unless the holder of the title was knighted in one of the recognised orders within the Commonwealth.

In the UK, these are: Order of the Garter, Order of the Thistle, Order of the Bath, Order of St Michael and St George, Order of the British Empire, Royal Victorian Order, Order of the Indian Empire (defunct), Order of British India (defunct), Order of Burma (defunct), Order of St Patrick (defunct), and Order of the Crown of India (defunct).

In Australia, it is Knight (AK) or Dame (AD) of the Order of Australia (postnomials: AD, AK)

In New Zealand, it is the New Zealand Order of Merit (postnomials: DNZM, KNZM, GNZM)

The only divorced couple (Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon) are included as both were honoured at the onset or during their marriage.
