Charles Elliott (1811–1876) was a New Zealand politician.[1] He represented the Waimea electorate in the 2nd New Zealand Parliament from 1855 to 1858, and resigned before the end of his term. He did not serve in any subsequent Parliaments.[2] He also held political office in the provinces of Nelson and Marlborough.

Elliott established the Nelson Examiner and New Zealand Chronicle in 1842; it was the first newspaper in the South Island.[1]
