Columbia is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) located within Knowlton Township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census.[9][10][11] As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 229.[4] The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 07832.[5]
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total area of 0.126 square miles (0.327 km2), of which, 0.100 square miles (0.258 km2) of it was land and 0.026 square miles (0.068 km2) of it (20.94%) was water.[1][2]
Demographics
Census 2010
At the 2010 United States Census, there were 229 people, 77 households, and 55 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,297.4 per square mile (887.0/km2). There were 85 housing units at an average density of Lua error in Module:Convert at line 272: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil value).. The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.94% (222) White, 3.06% (7) Black or African American, 0.00% (0) Native American, 0.00% (0) Asian, 0.00% (0) Pacific Islander, 0.00% (0) from other races, and 0.00% (0) from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 2.18% (5) of the population.[4]
There were 77 households, of which 29.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.6% were married couples living together, 18.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% were non-families. 22.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.00.[4]
In the CDP, 19.2% of the population were under the age of 18, 12.2% from 18 to 24, 17.5% from 25 to 44, 32.3% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45.4 years. For every 100 females there were 90.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 74.5 males.[4]
