Cyprus was represented by Anna Vissi, with the song '"Mono I Agapi", at the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Harrogate on 24 April. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster CyBC.
At Eurovision
On the night of the final Vissi performed second in the running order, following Switzerland and preceding Sweden. At the close of voting "Mono I Agapi" had picked up only 85 points, placing Cyprus 5th of the 18 entries. The Cypriot jury awarded its 12 points to Yugoslavia.[1]
