Darrers Stores was a supermarket/department store which existed in Waterford, Dungarvan, Tramore and Carlow, in the Republic of Ireland. It is said that Darrers were one of the first stores to introduce the concept of a free plastic shopping bag.[1] It may be for this reason that in Waterford, the plastic shopping bag became synonymous with Darrers Stores. Many of the older generation to this day still refer to any plastic shopping bag as a "Darrers Bag".

The store in Carlow closed in 2007[2] having traded on the main street, Tullow Street, for 40 years. It followed the closure of the Waterford store earlier in the 2000s.
