Remake
When AVM remade this film in Hindi as Bindiya with Balraj Sahni, Sivaji advised them not to remake the film as the film lacked a strong storyline. However AVM ignored and went on to make the film in Hindi. However Bindiya was a failure and many years later Saravanan in an interview regretted for ignoring Sivaji's advice.[6]
