Desert Pines High School is a public high school in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a part of the Clark County School District. The school which opened in 1999, also houses the Academy of Information Technology and the Academy of Communications.

Academy of Information Technology
The Academy of Information Technology at Desert Pines is a magnet program that educates students on the products, service, and implementation of information technology. Students enrolled in the academy learn about hardware (CyberCore, tech support, and computer forensics), software (programming, web development, and ORACLE), as well as networks (Cisco, Novell, etc.). After graduating from the program, students receive industry recognized certifications in A+, Cisco, Java, and ORACLE.[1]
Academy of Communications
The Academy of Communications at Desert Pines is one of the top media education schools in the Clark County School District. The academy houses state of the art television and radio stations, as well as offering student internships, job shadowing, and summer enrichment programs. Extracurricular activities
JROTC
Desert Pines is home to one of the two Marine Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps Units in the Clark County School District (the other being at Basic High School).[2] Desert Pines MCJROTC Unit is currently classified as being of Battalion strength, over 151 cadets strong.
Athletics
The athletic programs at Desert Pines are known as the Jaguars and participate in the Northeast Division in the Sunrise 4A Region. The Jaguars football team have made the playoffs and as always show strong players, but has yet to have much success.[3] Desert Pines also produces strong boys' and girls' basketball teams year in, year out.
2012–2013 Basketball season is one for the History books. Jaguars won state in the NIAA Division 1-A division.
Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team of 2010–2011, along with their coach, Coach Perez made it all the way to state final, something the soccer team had never done in the history of Desert Pines HS. They lost 3–1 against Legacy HS but remain state runners-up for Nevada and have a spot in the top 4 teams of Nevada for the season of 2010 to 2011.
