The Detroit Derby Girls (DDG) are a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Detroit, Michigan. The league was formed in January 2005 and held their first bouts in February 2006.[1][2][3] The Detroit Derby Girls are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Teams

The Detroit Derby Girls league comprises five home teams: the D-Funk Allstars,[4] the Devil's Night Dames,[5] the Detroit Pistoffs,[6] the Pistolwhippers,[7] and the Grand Prix Madonnas.[8] In 2010 DDG added the fifth team (Grand Prix Madonnas) and moved venues from the Detroit Masonic Temple to Cobo Arena.[9] With the renovations at Cobo, DDG returned to the Detroit Masonic Temple for the 2011-2012 home season.

The league also has three interleague teams; An "A" all-star team: The Detroit Derby Girls Allstars,[10] a "B" team: Motor City Disassembly Line (MCDL),[11] and a pick-up style "C" Team containing various skill levels: Motown Wreckers.[12]
