The company is a division of Essar Steel based in Mumbai, part of the diversified Essar Group holdings. [2]

Products

The ESSAR Steel India Limited facilities have an annual production capacity of 10 MTPA (10 million tonnes/year).[3]

  • The primary manufacturing facility of ESSAR Steel India Limited comprises ore beneficiation, pellet making, iron making, and steel making.[4]
  • Downstream facilities include: a cold rolling mill, galvanising, a pre-coated facility, a steel processing facility, the extra wide Essar Plate Mill,[5] and a pipe mill.[6]

Retail distribution

Essar Hypermart is a steel retail chain of 520 outlets, for Essar Steel direct end-user/consumer supplies and products, headquartered in Mumbai, India. ESSAR Steel India Limited is one of the providers of stock for its stores in India and international locations.[7]
