Giselle Anne "G" Toengi (born June 14, 1978) is a Filipino-American Actress, Dance Diva, Singer, Host, VJ & Model active in the Philippines.

Biography

Background

Born Giselle Toengi to a Swiss father, Eric and Filipina mother, Aurora.[1] She has four siblings namely: Avie, Tony, John and Sharon.

She studied at the Lee Strasberg School of Acting in New York. She obtained a bachelor's degree in communication studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.

On February 19, 2005, she married bartender Tim Walters. They now have a son Kenobi Benjamin and a daughter Sakura Anne Marie. .[1]

Career

She was 16 when she was discovered by an agent at a mall.[1] She was then launched as a member of the pioneer batch of Star Circle (now Star Magic).

In the early 2000s, G. Toengi left a thriving acting career in the Philippines a few years ago to try her luck in Hollywood.[2]

She landed a role in Saved by the Bell: The Musical and in 2004 in the stage play Days When Cocaine Was King.[3]

Her son Kenobi was picked among few babies to appear in an episode of the American TV series Desperate Housewives.[2]

She played a planted fan to the contestants during a challenge in America's Next Top Model, Cycle 16, which can be seen in Episode 9 of the said Cycle.

In 2014, she replaced Jannelle So as host and producer of a locally produced Filipino talk show in Los Angeles called Kababayan Today, which airs on KSCI (LA-18).[4]
