George Katkov

Georgy Mikhailovich Katkov (27 November 1903 – 20 January 1985) was a Russian historian and philosopher.

Biography

Georgy Katkov was born in Moscow, then part of the Russian Empire. He lived in Kiev, later moving to Central Europe, where he earned a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Prague in 1929; he fled the city just before the outbreak of World War II for England.

George Katkov died in London. He was buried at Headington Cemetery, Headington.
