Joan Harrison (born 29 November 1935 in East London, Eastern Cape) is a South African swimmer and Olympic champion. She competed at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, where she won the gold medal in the women's 100 m backstroke event.[1]

Awards

She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1982.[2][3]
