It caters for basketball, volleyball and handball matches but can also be converted to host badminton, gymnastics [2] and boxing matches.[3]

It has a crowd capacity of 2,100 seated spectators. The arena played host to many events during the 1989 Games of the Small States of Europe.

Now the arena is used only by the basketball and volleyball departments of APOEL.
