Loami Township is located in Sangamon County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,070 and it contained 449 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 21.16 square miles (54.8 km2), of which 21.15 square miles (54.8 km2) (or 99.95%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km2) (or 0.05%) is water.[1]
