Max Reinthaler (born 22 March 1995 in Bolzano) is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder for German club FC Augsburg. He is described as being strong in the air and lanky.[1]

Club career

Udinese

He made his debut on 6 December 2012 in the Europa League against Liverpool.[2] Although being part of the squad at several Serie A matches, he never earned a cap there.

TSV Gersthofen

In Sumner 2013, Reinthaler had trials with both SC Freiburg and Red Bull Salzburg. However, due to compensation demands by Udinese no agreement was reached. In order to evade Udinese's claims Reinthaler regained amateur status by joining German sixth tier club TSV Gersthofen.[3] For Gersthofen he scored five goals in eleven appearances.

Rydaholms GoIF

From April to July 2014 Reinthaler enjoyed a short spell at Swedish fourth tier club Rydaholms GoIF. In an interview he claimed that offer by Rydaholm had been lucrative.[4]

FC Augsburg

In July 2014 it became known that he had signed for German side FC Augsburg on a four-year contract until 2018. At first he will be assigned to the second team playing in the fourth tier Regionalliga Bayern, but he will occasionally train with the first team.[5] He also takes part in the first team's training camp and first team's friendly fixtures.[6]

Personal life

His hometown is Algund in South Tyrol, Italy. His first language is German.
