Merton London Borough Council election, 1998

The 1998 Merton Council election took place on 7 May 1998 to elect members of Merton London Borough Council in London, England. The whole council was up for election and the Labour party stayed in overall control of the council.[1]
At the same as the election Merton saw 72.2% vote in favour of the 1998 Greater London Authority referendum and 27.8% against, on a 37.6% turnout.[2]
