Moylagh has a well-equipped community centre with Gaelic Athletic Association pitch ST. OLIVER'S Park [1], a training pitch across the road, two racquetball courts and an indoor soccer hall. The hall has played host to several all-Ireland racquetball tournaments, as well as drama competitions such as Scór na nÓg. St. Mary's Church in Moylagh is a large 19th-century Roman Catholic church with an adjoining graveyard. They currently do not have priest since Fr. Eugene Conlan died in July 2009. Across the road from the church is Scoil Mhuire national school, which caters to the primary education of approximately 100 pupils, has a green flag and a hard working parents' association.

A notable industry in Moylagh, and a large employer, is in engineering. There are three mechanical engineering firms in the parish, mainly specialising in steel products for use in the industrial and agricultural sectors. In recent years moylagh GAA along with the local community have established The JFK 50 mile walk in aid of charity. Started in 2012 it has raised over €60.000 last year in aid of the Irish cancer society. First person across the line in a time of 9hours 20 minutes in 2013 was Eamonn Fitzsimons who completed the event in memory of his late mother (Sarah/ Sadie) who died earlier on in the year. She was present and completed part of the 50 miler in 2012, The 1st event, but died of cancer in February 2013. The Fitzsimons family now has a memorial trophy in her name for the walk every year.<r>["www.50milechallenge.com/" "https://www.facebook.com/.../Moylagh-J..." "www.moylaghgaa.com/"]<\r>
