Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. N. M. Uqaili was a Finance Minister of Pakistan and a Chairman of the Pakistan Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation (PICIC). He was amongst the very first Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Pakistani graduates of the London School of Economics.[citation needed] He headed the privatisation commission during the Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq government to study the condition of the State enterprises and served as the Governor of State Bank of Pakistan.[citation needed] He was known as a successful businessman.[citation needed] His granddaughter is Pakistani politician Sharmila Farooqi.
