Narayan Singh Bhati

Narayan Singh Bhati (1930–2004) was a prominent writer in Rajasthani language.

Works

He was the founder and director of Rajasthani Research Institute based at Chopasani Jodhpur since 1955 until 1993. He was deeply involved in preservation of old Rajasthani literature.[1]

His works include Meeran, Sanjh, Paramvir, Olun, Jivan Dhan, Sources of Socio-Economic History of Rajasthan and Malwa (1700-900AD).

Awards

He has been awarded by Sahitya Akademi, Delhi for his poetry Barsan Ra Degoda Dungar Langhiyan in 1981. [2] He has also been awarded by the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi's Prithviraj Prize. [3] Padma Shri in the year 2010 the fourth highest civilian award of Govt. of India[4]
