The Northern Anatolian conifer and deciduous forests is a Palearctic ecoregion in the Temperate coniferous forests Biome, located in northern Anatolia, Turkey. The ecoregion extends along the Pontic Mountains.
Geography
The Northern Anatolian conifer and deciduous forests are bounded by various other ecoregions:
- North
- To the north by the Euxine-Colchic deciduous forests ecoregion, which occupies the coastal strip between the mountains and the Black Sea.
- East
- To the east by the Northern Anatolian conifer and deciduous forests transition to the Caucasus mixed forests.
- South
- The drier Anatolian Plateau lies to the south, where the Northern Anatolian forests transition to the Eastern Anatolian deciduous forests to the southeast, the Central Anatolian deciduous forests to the south, and the Anatolian conifer and deciduous mixed forests to the southwest.
