Paul Budnitz (born September 14, 1967) is an American entrepreneur. He is the founder of Kidrobot, a retailer of art toys, apparel and accessories, and Ello, an ad-free social network.[2][3][4][5] He also owns Budnitz Bicycles in Burlington, Vermont.[6][7][8][9]

Biography
Early life and education
Paul Budnitz grew up in Berkeley, California in a Jewish family with a nuclear physicist father and a social worker mother. He graduated from Berkeley High School and eventually transferred to Yale University in Connecticut.[10][1]
Career
In 1990, Budnitz began working on two films, 93 Million Miles from the Sun and the 13-minute-long[11] Ultraviolet. Both won awards at the Berlin International Film Festival[citation needed] and were distributed worldwide. Artforum magazine hailed 93 Million Miles as "one of the best films of 1997."[citation needed]
Budnitz is the founder of Kidrobot, Ello and Budnitz Bicycles.
Personal life
Budnitz has ties to Boulder, Colorado; New York City; Montana; and Shelburne, Vermont. He is married to Sabine "Sa Budnitz" and lives in Vermont and New York City.[12][13][14][15][8][16][9]
