Peter Kauzer (born 8 September 1983, in Trbovlje) is a Slovenian slalom canoeist who has competed since the late 1990s. He won three medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with two golds (K-1: 2009, 2011) and a bronze (K-1 team: 2005).

Kauzer has competed at two Summer Olympics. He finished 13th in the K-1 event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing after being eliminated in the semifinals. Four years later at the London games he was one of the top favorites for gold in the K-1 event. He made the final after recording the fastest time in the semifinal, but after a disappointing run in the final he could only finish in 6th place. He was also the Slovenian flag-bearer at these games.[6]

He won the overall World Cup title in 2009, 2011 and 2015 in K-1.

At the European Championships he has won a total of 8 medals (5 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze).
